*Subcontractor Opportunities* 2024 Exterior Painting of Alisal Community School, Salinas, CA

We are looking for a General Contractor and/or Painting Subcontractor to oversee, manage and/or self-perform as applicable the following tasks: Abatement: Abate any identified lead paint as noted in the Hazmat Report included in Appendix A. Paint exterior of buildings: Paint exterior stucco and portable buildings (including doors and trim) to have a consistent color scheme on each site. Retain and protect all existing murals in place. As part of surface preparation fill all cracks and holes. See paint specifications. Submit paint brush outs for approval prior to painting. Encapsulate areas where lead is identified present. Select and submit product data for proposed encapsulate material for approval. Prep surface per manufacturer’s recommendations. Prepare test patch to ensure compatibility with materials. The encapsulant must be capable of being applied safely and must not contain toxic substances. The encapsulant must adhere to existing paint films. The encapsulant must have the ability to remain intact for an extended period of time when exposed to the expected environmental conditions and use patterns. The encapsulant and its application procedure must comply with fire, health, and environmental regulations. Encapsulants must adhere to the existing paint film. Contractor to provide all necessary equipment, material and tools paint all areas of the buildings. Provide protection of areas around the buildings (i.e. pavement, landscaping, etc.). Alisal Community School Specifics: See drawings for painting scheme and colors. Scope includes Buildings D, K, J and Portables noted on plans. Building D needs to be repainted as noted on the drawings. Building K has a mural that needs to be retained and protected. Fremont Elementary School Specifics: See drawings. See drawings for painting scheme and colors. Scope includes Buildings R-1, R-3, R-4, 2, 6, Rooms 26, 27, 28, 30-33, 35 and restroom portable R-1 noted on plans.
