Description

Description: Project consists of replacing the damaged road with a 100-foot-long cast-in-place drilled hole pile supported retaining wall along with permanent tiebacks 6 feet below ground, where significant slide occurred that will restore lateral support to the outboard edge of roadway and allow fill placement where approximately 80 feet of the westbound travel lane dropped up to 20 feet due to slide movement. The grade beam is eight to twenty feet high. Relatively closely spaced piles will transfer lateral soil loads to deeper and stronger materials. The permanent tiebacks is 6 feet below ground will make it feasible for this high wall to carry the load. A 45 feet long temporary soil nail wall is located at the edge of the slide to allow the contractor to install the permanent wall safely. Filling and repaving the roadway will be required to restore the asphalt surface and pre-slide drainage patterns. The work shall be diligently prosecuted to completion before the expiration sixty (60) working days beginning the day of issuance of Notice to Proceed. Questions via email, fax or mail to Owner.
