NEW BID DATE: Main Street Improvements Project & Old Town Improvements Project, Tustin, CA

This work shall consist in part of furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment and incidentals as required by the plans, specifications and contract documents for the above stated project. For the Main Street Project, the work to be done hereunder consists of reducing the curb-to-curb width to approximately 56 feet to match the roadway west of Prospect Avenue; widening of the sidewalks on both sides of the street; relocating the library parking lot driveway easterly to align with the Tustin Plaza driveway on the south side of the street; construction of a new driveway to the public parking lot at 235 E. Main St.; construction of an 8-foot wide landscaped median; reconfiguration of on-street parking to angled parking; installation of an in-pavement lighted crosswalk at the easterly library parking lot driveway; installation of a gateway sign spanning the street; installation of electrical receptacles at tree well locations and the necessary electrical circuits to power “mini-string lights” in the trees; addition of Class II bike lanes, street trees, street furniture, and lighting; and traffic signal modifications for the installation of radar detection at the intersections of Main Street and Newport Avenue. All work as detailed on the plans and specified herein or as customarily necessary to complete the intent of the proposed work. The project site is located in the City of Tustin, County of Orange, California, on Main Street between Prospect Avenue and Newport Avenue and on El Camino Real between Sixth Street and First Street For the Old Town Project, the project improvements include construction of roadway improvements, sidewalks, concrete pedestrian areas, curbs and gutters, driveways, drainage improvements, traffic signal improvements, landscaping and irrigation, utility adjustments, lighting and other miscellaneous items of work, as shown on the plans and specified in these specifications. This project will also require surface water control, sediment, and erosion control, dust control, noise control, and coordination of work with surrounding businesses, schools and utilities as needed. The project site is on El Camino Real between Sixth Street and First Street and on Main Street from El Camino Real to C Street.
