Multi-Site Exterior Paint Project - Rio Linda High School and Rio Linda Prep, Rio Linda, CA

Scope of Work: Prep and paint the entire exterior of Rio Linda High School located at 6309 Dry Creek Rd, Rio Linda, CA 95673. Provide and enforce usage of OSHA approved protective equipment (respirators, gloves, etc.). Contain work area by covering entire perimeter of structures, at least 10ft out, with 6mm plastic sheeting. Begin prep work by hand scraping loose and peeling paint. HEPA vacuum all debris collected on plastic sheeting and store in lead safe container. Pressure wash entire exterior of structure. Collect all water runoff by wet vacuuming plastic and storing liquids in lead safe containers. Apply full coat of primer to encapsulate any remaining, loose particles and properly prepare surfaces. Prep, priming and painting of all surfaces to follow manufacturer's specifications. Remove and replace siding affected by dry rot in full sheets. Areas where a majority of the wall is affected by dry rot, remove siding corner to corner and install HardiePanel Vertical Siding to match existing siding. Remove and replace trim affected by dry rot in kind. Hand sand to smooth, then caulk/patch any obvious cracks. Seal any gaps around windows & doors. Apply spot primer to all areas of repair to follow manufacturer’s specifications. Fill cracks in stucco prior to painting to follow manufacturer’s specifications. Finish- Stucco will be painted with Elastomeric paint to follow manufacturer’s specifications. Paint all walls, trim, soffits, eaves, exterior doors (both sides inside and outside), ornamental iron and handrails to follow manufacturer’s specifications. Paint all previously painted surfaces including existing conduits and pipes. Ornamental iron, handrails, flashing, gutters, security screens and canopy posts with DTM paint to follow manufacturer’s specifications. Paint Scheme will include two body colors, two trim colors, one accent color and one ornamental iron color to be selected by owner. DVBE goal is 3%.
