Description
This construction project is located at the Interstate 10 (I-10) Alabama Street Interchange in the City of Redlands. The City of Redlands (City), in cooperation with the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) and the San Bernardino County Transportation Authority (SBCTA), is proposing improvements to Alabama Street between Orange Tree Lane and Industrial Park Avenue and improvements to the off-ramps at I-10 PM 29.2 to 29.4. The I-10 Alabama Street Improvements Project consists of, but is not limited to, the following components: • Construction of standard Type 1 retaining walls along the westbound and eastbound I-10 off-ramps. • Widening Alabama Street in the northbound direction to accommodate a right turn pocket at the I-10 eastbound on-ramp. Widening Alabama Street in the southbound direction to accommodate a right turn pocket at the I-10 westbound on-ramp. • Widen and reconstruct the westbound and eastbound I-10 off-ramps to provide a total of four lanes at the terminus. • Street improvements to Alabama Street within the project limits as part of the project would include drainage improvements, pavement construction, curb ramps, and sidewalks. • Remove existing traffic signals and replace them with current Caltrans standard traffic signals at eastbound I-10 off-ramp and Alabama Street intersection, and westbound I-10 on-ramp. Bonds required. Prevailing wages apply. DBE goals. Term is 240 working days.
