Fire Extinguisher Maintenance, Repair, and Replacement Services, Fontana, CA

The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, transportation and supervision required to perform prescribed service of all dry chemical, CO2, Halon (Clean Agent Fire Systems), Automatic Restaurant Systems (single tank systems kitchen hood fire systems), Fire Sprinkler, Hose Systems and pressured water type (General Ansul, Kidde, etc.) fire extinguishers for the City of Fontana. Replacement parts needed are to be furnished to the City of Fontana at prices quoted by the contractor. The contract covers all emergency calls, repair services, replacement units, new units, replenishing of all chemicals. The contract period is for two (2) years with up to three (3) one-year extensions to be granted at the Citys discretion. The Contractor understands that this contract shall not bind nor purport to bind the City of Fontana for any contractual commitment in excess of the original contract period. In the event the City exercises its options, all terms, conditions and provisions of the original contract shall remain the same and apply during the extension period. After completion of services performed, payment will be made upon receipt of invoice from Contractor. Contractor will be required to show proof of service through signature of authorized Public Services Department, Fleet and Facilities Division staff. The City of Fontana reserves the right to terminate said agreement upon thirty (30) days notification. Bidder must comply with all current applicable State and Fire Marshall requirements and codes, including but not limited to Sections 557.8 through 596.12 of Title 19 of the California Administrative Code. Special attention shall be paid to Halon servicing and 6-year breakdown requirements. Additionally, all service companies shall comply with all applicable AQMD, Federal, State, Local and California State Fire Marshalls requirements for all of the types of services to be provided in this bid document.
