Description
The IRP Site 2 Landfill is located at 3465 E 3rd Street in San Bernardino, CA. This closed landfill was used as a dumping point for the Norton Air Force Base that was closed in 1993. The San Bernardino International Airport Authority is responsible for maintaining and repairing the landfill structures and the immediate surrounding areas. The proposed work includes the removal of concrete swale at the west entrance, replacement of damaged asphalt at the west entrance, removal of curb and installation of drainage cutout east of the west entrance, removal and replacement of four utility vault covers, installation of slope drain with new corrugated metal flume at the landfill slope and associated striping of the area.
