The Project is generally described as, but not limited to, as: Miscellaneous alterations and improvements to school interiors and exteriors and outdoor areas in three zones including abatement of hazardous materials, as follows: Zone 1 - Upper and Lower Plazas - Remove portions of existing concrete paving - Provide planting areas with accessible permeable surface - Provide shade trees, plants, and irrigation - Provide seating Zone 2 - Outdoor Classroom Area Provide site work for improvements - Provide bioretention areas and rain garden - Provide gravity block retaining walls, concrete steps and handrails - Provide accessible pathways - Provide storage structure - Provide power, telecom, and security cameras - Provide shade trees, plants, and irrigation - Provide seating Zone 3 - Garden Area - Remove existing raised planters - Provide site work for improvements - Provide gravity block retaining walls and accessible pathways - Provide accessible raised planters - Provide planting and irrigation - Provide seating. The District has a Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (“DVBE”) Participation Goal Program (“the DVBE Program”) which establishes a three percent (3%) Participation Goal for DVBEs.
