De La Vina Bridge Replacement Project, Santa Barbara, CA

The Project is located on De La Vina Street over Mission Creek between Vernon Road and Alamar Avenue, and is described as follows: The De La Vina Street Bridge is structurally deficient and is to be replaced with a new bridge designed to current City, American Association of State Highway and Transportation Official, and Caltrans standards, while minimizing adverse effects on Mission Creek and protecting, preserving, and enhancing its adjacent riparian habitat. The Project primarily consists of, but is not limited to the following: Removing and replacing a concrete bridge and roadway approaches; Demolition of existing structures; Relocating utilities; Constructing creek transition walls; Constructing sidewalks and other minor concrete items; Realigning roadway; Planting landscape materials and irrigation systems; Installing storm drainage facilities; Installing street lights; and Protecting existing utilities per the Project’s plans and specifications. The Project obtained the following environmental permits or approvals: Regional Water Quality Control Board Section 401 Water Quality Certification; California Department of Fish and Wildlife; Endangered Species Act Section 7(a)(2) Biological Opinion; and U.S. Department of the Army Section 404 Nationwide Permit. DBE goal is 18%.
