Description
This building will house the County's 911 Communications Dept. and Office of Emergency Management. Work will retrofit an existin 46,y700 SF Concrete tilt-up panel, single story, high bay building for use as an essential services building. this requires upgrades to the building as well as replacement of most of the systems and equipment to meet the applicable seismic risk factor category IV requirements. Improvements will inclulde new braced frames to upgrade the lateral force-resisting system; enhanced panel to roof connections to restrain panels against out-of-plane forces; strongbacks at panel joints; plate connections between panels; enhanced panel hold downs and foundations; strengthening of key roof members; all active equipment and MEP and FS equipment; sucts and piping, trapeze assemblies, electrical, plumbing;. The Building envelope and most of the glazing will bre upgraded; generators, interior partitions; site improvements include an expanded utility yard, landscape upgrades, new entry turn-around with security bollaards, security fencing and gates, Publicly accessible guest lot near the main entry and 3 protected lots.
