Description
For purposes of this Contract, Work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, services, supervision, and incidentals necessary to add swing gates, pedestrian gates, handrails, related signal upgrades, and minor civil improvements at various railroad crossings that are not currently gated along the Vasona rail corridor, and at the Mountain View Light Rail Station. This project will impact the following intersections and railroad crossings: 1. Campbell Ave. & Railway Ave. (Campbell) 2. Bascom Ave. & Borello Dr. (San Jose) 3. Stokes St. & Southwest Expwy (San Jose) 4. Leigh Ave. & Southwest Expwy (San Jose) 5. Fruitdale Ave. & Southwest Expwy (San Jose) 6. Parkmoor Ave. & Race St. (San Jose) (Bid Option) 7. Lincoln Ave. (San Jose) 8. Auzerais Ave. (San Jose) 9. Sunol St. (San Jose) 10. Mountain View Light Rail Station (Mountain View) 11. Dupont St. (San Jose) The Work will be conducted within an operating railway envelope and adjacent to and within an existing light rail system. This Work will be subject to restrictions to ensure safety and the continuing operations of the light rail system. Prequalified bidders only. DBE Goal: 8%.
