The Consultant shall provide emergency on-call building inspection services on an as-needed basis for the Citys Community Development Department, Building Division, functioning as an extension of City staff under the direct authority of the Building Official. San Antonio Complete Streets Project, Los Altos, CA
The City has received OBAG 3 funding for the San Antonio Complete Streets Project STPL-5309(020). The project consists of protected bikeways along North San Antonio Road connecting key commercial areas, residential areas, Civic spaces, schools, the Community Center, the Library, Downtown Los Altos, new high-density housing, Caltrain, and El Camino Real transit lines. This project seeks to create safer, more comfortable streets for all users by implementing complete streets best practices, including protected bikeways, better integration between transit and bicycles, enhanced crosswalks, preservation of existing sidewalks, and narrowed vehicle lanes. This corridor is a suggested route to school for two public schools in Los Altos. It is one of the few north-south corridors that traverses the entire city. This project also includes pavement rehabilitation to restore and maintain the existing roadway network, as well as streetscape improvements, such as streetlights. The plans will comply with the latest design standard at the time the contract is executed

Evaluate the parking lot for Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance and include solutions in the deliverables where deficiencies are observed. Apply for and secure construction permits, including excavation permits and any underground service alerts for any on-site investigations. Building permit fees will be paid separately by the City.
