The project consists of replacement of the HVAC systems in three buildings: the Corporation Yard (004), Gymnasium (015), and the Fieldhouse (005). The details for building specific project descriptions are below. Corporation Yard: Existing packaged and split AC systems with either heat pump or natural gas furnace will be removed, as well as selected ductwork. The new HVAC system will be a central station rooftop air handler with chilled water cooling and heating was heating connected to the points of connection provided in Phase 1, which is complete. New ductwork and terminal boxes with reheat will provide zone level temperature control. Two ductless mini split AC units serving data system closets will also be replaced. All air handler and zone level controls shall be incorporated into the existing building management system per plans. Any ceiling work required to provide access for mechanical construction shall be included as generally indicated on the plans. Gymnasium & Fieldhouse: The Work includes modifications to the mechanical systems and controls of the campus Gymnasium/Fieldhouse building, as delineated on the project drawing set. Demolition includes decommissioning and removal of the existing dx and HHW air moving equipment, exhaust fans, and portions of ductwork. New work includes three new chilled/heating water air handlers, zone level terminal boxes with HHW reheat, exhaust fans, a new exterior mechanical yard, additions to the chilled water and heating water distribution, & all associated controls. All new controls shall be connected to the existing systems for control and monitoring by central plant facility staff. Scope of work shall be separated into additive alternate bids, as noted on plans. Pre-qualification required. DVBE goal is 3%. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
