The Charger Center is a new, multipurpose athletic and conference facility being developed on the Carl Sandburg College Galesburg campus along Tom L. Wilson Boulevard. The project is designed to significantly expand the Colleges capacity for athletics, large-scale events, and community engagement, while modernizing athletic infrastructure and improving safety and accessibility across campus. The Charger Center is designed to: Serve as the primary indoor athletic venue for Sandburgs intercollegiate sports Function as a flexible, high-capacity event facility for commencement, conferences, performances, and community events Strengthen student recruitment, retention, and student-athlete success Position Sandburg as a regional hub for professional and educational events
