Description
The project is located within the City of Warrenville along IL Route 59 between Continental Drive/Meadow Avenue and Batavia Road. The total project length is 2,116 feet (0.40 miles). The improvements will lie primarily within the IL Route 59 rights-of-way which fall under the jurisdiction of the IDOT. A combination of temporary and permanent easements will need to be acquired from 7 different properties. The Phase II Final Engineering design will include: 1. A new ten-foot accessible, concrete shared-use path, along the west side of IL Route 59 that will connect to existing paths at the northern and southern extents. 2. A new five-foot, accessible, concrete sidewalk, along the east side of IL Route 59 that will connect to existing paths/sidewalks at the northern and southern extents. 3. Installation of new traffic signal posts, push button Accessible Pedestrian Signals (APS) and pedestrian signal heads at the northern and southern extents. 4. Modifications to existing curb ramps and driveway entrances, and installation of new curb ramps. 5. Improvements to intersection pavement markings. 6. Regrading of existing open channel, installation of new storm sewer and new connections between open and closed drainage systems. 7. Relocation of existing utilities and signage. 8. Restoration and landscape improvements.
