Three-span PPC Deck Beam Bridge Carrying CH 33 Over Joe's Creek, Springfield, IL
The work under this contract includes the removal of the two-span precast prestressed concrete deck beam bridge with open concrete abutments and solid reinforced concrete pier both founded on steel piling and the construction of a new three span precast prestressed concrete deck beam bridge on a tangent alignment. The new structure will be 97-0 back-to-back of abutments with open reinforced concrete abutments and solid reinforced concrete piers, 24-0 clear deck width, with Type S1 railing and no skew. The contract also includes the placement of stone riprap, earthwork, and other related items of work. The gross project length is 590 feet and is located 5 miles southwest of Hettick. Location: Route CH 33 (Hill Crest Road)
