Description
Exterior stairwell replacement: Permits and inspections are contractor responsibility All wood is treated lumber (number 1 grade) All upper decks are approximately 8ft x 4ft, new structure should be rebuilt to match the existing size When existing structure is removed, if any rotted wood is found on side of the building, SHA shall be notified for an inspection before proceeding Stairs shall land on the concrete pad (described later in this section) Preparation Remove existing deck and stairs Remove existing siding as required to expose the wall for proper ledger install. Inspect framing for damage or rot, notify SHA if repairs are needed prior proceeding Install continuous building wrap over exposed sheathing, properly lapped to shed water. Seal seams with approved tape to maintain air and moisture barrier continuity Installation of Building Envelope Components Install continuous building wrap over exposed sheathing, properly lapped to shed water. Seal seams with approved tuck tape to maintain air and moisture barrier continuity. Integrate wrap with existing weather barrier system. Flashing Installation Install Flashing Layer 1 drip cap at the base, extending over the siding to direct water away.
