The 183rd Air Wing located at 3101 J. David Jones Pkwy Springfield, IL 62707 is looking for a 2-year contract for Lawn Care Services - Mowing, Trimming, and Weed Control.

This contract consists of repairing, replacing, or upgrading existing damaged steel plate beam guardrail, traffic barrier terminals, impact attenuators, median cable, and all associated appurtenances on a work order basis. Guardrail shall be repaired or replaced in accordance with the details and standards in the plans as directed by the Engineer. Location: This work is located on various state maintained routes district wide in Calhoun, Greene, Jersey, Madison, Bond, Clinton, St. Clair, Monroe, Marion, Washington, and Randolph Counties.

This work shall consist of repairing or replacing damaged electrical traffic control devices, repairing highway lighting outages, traffic signal re-lamping and cleaning, replacing loop detectors, modernizing existing electrical facilities, adding new facilities and providing electrical services that are requested at locations described in a department work order issued in compliance with this contract. Locations: This work will be performed within the geographical boundaries of District 9 which includes the following counties: Alexander, Franklin, Gallatin, Hamilton, Hardin, Jackson, Jefferson, Johnson, Massac, Perry, Pope, Pulaski, Saline, Union, White, and Williamson.

This project proposes converting the entire closed loop system into a centralized traffic management system with remote connection capabilities. This project will install new single mode fiber optic cable, network switches, PTZ cameras and ATC controllers among other equipment to allow for remote access and monitoring capabilities at these locations. The entire system will be optimized to improve traffic flow and decrease congestion. Traffic will be monitored through PTZ cameras. Location: There are eighty-two (82) signalized intersections proposed on this project located in Cook and DuPage Counties within the Cities of Rolling Meadows and Des Plaines, and the Villages of Mount Prospect, Elk Grove and Bensenville. These locations consist of multiple closed loop systems located along IL Route 62 (Algonquin Road), IL Route 58 (Golf Road), Arlington Heights Road, IL Route 72 (Higgins Road), IL Route 83 (Kingery Highway / Busse Road), US Route 14 (Northwest Highway), IL Route 83 (Elmhurst Road), Wolf Road, Oakton Street, and US Route 12 / 45 (Mannheim Road / Lee Street).

This project consists of call-out bridge deck patching. Location: This project is located on various bridge decks in various counties.

The Contractor shall repair, replace, maintain, and service the entire Departments ITS equipment located in District 8, including but not limited to the following: Surveillance cameras, vehicle detectors, dynamic message signs, advanced traffic management systems, fiber optic communications and ethernet networks, TMC servers, traffic management center workstations All peripheral equipment and scheduled preventative maintenance as directed by the individual work orders issued by the Engineer. Location: This project is located at various locations throughout District 8 and as directed by the Engineer.

This work shall consist of forestry, weed control, and landscape work. Forestry work shall include pruning, tree removal, and selective clearing of trees, shrubs, and brush. Weed control work shall include controlling and removing invasive weeds through physical removal or the application of appropriate herbicides. Landscape work shall consist of repairing, installing, and establishing new vegetative material including trees, shrubs, and seeding. Location: This work is located within the right-of-way limits along I-94 East and I-94 West (Edens Expressway) between Wilson Avenue and Lake Cook Road, within the municipal limits of Chicago, Lincolnwood, Skokie, Morton Grove, Wilmette, Northfield, Glencoe, and Northbrook. sdm

The work in this contract consists of furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials necessary for the installation, repair, maintenance or replacement of damaged guardrail, fence, attenuators, and other highway appurtenances; the repair of high-tension cable median barrier; and minor concrete repairs at locations throughout District 3. This includes the minor adjustment of connecting parts of the installation as specified elsewhere. The work to be done at any location will be indicated on the work order by the Engineer. The damage to repair is generally a result of automobile accidents; therefore, the need and locations of any repairs are random in nature. The work also includes providing traffic control. Location: Locations of repair will be determined by District 3. The nine counties that comprise District 3 are Bureau, DeKalb, Ford, Grundy, Iroquois, Kankakee, Kendall, LaSalle, and Livingston. This also covers any other locations maintained by District 3.

This work consists of removing and disposing of Litter and Debris that has accumulated within the right-of-way of the Interstate Routes, including, but not limited to, medians; inside and outside areas adjacent to exit and entrance ramps at various interchanges; interchange gore areas between mainline and ramps; and inside and outside of on/off ramps at rest areas within District 3. Location: This project is located on various interstate routes within the following counties. Bureau County LaSalle County Grundy County 1. Interstate Route 80 1. Interstate Route 80 1. Interstate Route 80 2. Interstate Route 180 2. Interstate Route 39 The district is responsible for I-180 in Putnam County, from the Illinois River Bridge (MM 13) to the west end of SN 07-0035 on IL 71(MM 14.55). This also includes the ramps at the IL 26, Hennepin exit. The westbound lanes of I-80, from Mile Marker 120.23 to Mile Marker 122.77, including the westbound exit and entrance ramps at Minooka, are in Kendall County.

This project consists of the removal and proper disposal of medium trees (6-15 inches in diameter) and large trees (greater than 15 inches in diameter), clearing of undesirable brush, and the maintenance of old growth oak trees. Approximate tree locations are shown on the plans. The work at each location consists primarily of: Three Rivers Rest Area on Westbound I-80 Traffic Control. The application of Paclobutrazol. Structural pruning. Disposal of pruned limbs including wood chips, leaves and other debris. Repair of any rutting caused by maintenance activities. All Other Locations Traffic Control. Cutting and removal of identified trees. Disposal of trees including wood chips. Application of herbicide to cut stumps by an Illinois Licensed Pesticide Applicator/Operator. Removal of stumps as per the Engineer. Repair of any rutting caused by tree removal activities. Location: The work to be done under this contract will be performed on State-maintained routes in Bureau, Grundy, Livingston, and LaSalle Counties. The operation will be performed within IDOT right-ofway.

This project will provide operable and properly maintained highway lighting and traffic signal repair and maintenance in District 8. Location: This project is located at various locations in District 8.

This project consists of work to be accomplished under this contract shall include repairing various widths of preformed plastic and modified urethane pavement marking lines, letters and symbols and removal of existing pavement markings within the limits specified on each individual Work Order, and related collateral work necessary to complete the project. Location: The work for this project will be performed on various highways throughout District Four and as directed by the Engineer. This project is located on various routes in various counties throughout District Four.

The work to be accomplished under this contract shall consist of removal and replacement of damaged raised reflective pavement marker castings (new castings shall include new reflectors) within the limits shown in the plans.
