The City is seeking a qualified contractor to provide construction services to renovate office spaces at Gaithersburg Community Museum (Maryland historic building) located at: 9 South Summit Avenue, Gaithersburg, MD 20877. The proposed renovation of the Gaithersburg Community Museum office spaces is summarized below: 1. Project Goal: Combine two existing small office spaces into a single, larger open office to improve functionality and better support Museum program requirements. 2. Structural Addition: The plan includes the construction of a storage mezzanine equipped with a staircase for access, maximizing the vertical space for storage needs. 3. Historic Compliance: The proposed renovation design has been officially reviewed and approved by the Maryland Historical Trust (MHT), ensuring the changes align with historical preservation standards.
