Description

This project, located in Montgomery County, is for the construction of a bicycle and pedestrian route along a portion of MD 390 (16th Street). Beginning at the Intersection of MD 390 and Spring Street and extending in a Northerly direction to Second Avenue for a total distance of 0.57 miles. The project includes the construction of two off-site stormwater management facilities located along MD 201 (Kenilworth Avenue). The work will consist of the following: (a) Construction of an 8-foot-wide, two-way protected bicycle facility (cycle track) (b) Construction of a 6-foot wide American with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant sidewalk (c) Reconstruction of the intersection of MD 390 and Spring Street into a bicycle protected intersection (d) Milling and resurfacing (e) Full depth reconstruction (f) Installation of curb and gutter (g) Installation of traffic barriers (h) Installation of concrete medians (i) Installation of fence (j) Drainage improvements (k) Construction of stormwater management facilities (l) Erosion and sediment control (m) Maintenance of traffic (n) Installation of temporary and permanent pavement markings (o) Maintenance of existing traffic signals (p) Installation of traffic signals, traffic cameras, signs, and lighting (q) Landscaping (r) Utility relocation
