Description

The Project includes construction of the new 96 mgd storm water pumping station, electrical building and force main tunnel that will be located at Neptune Park along Commercial Street near the intersection of Bennett Street, bounded by the MBTA rail line to the south, Commercial Street to the west, an apartment complex to the north and public park to the east. The force main portion of the project is in Commercial Street from the intersection of Commercial and Bennet Streets at the beginning and ends to the south approximately 1,000 feet on Commercial Street to approximately 280 feet south the intersection with the Lynnway. Sub bids will be received until January 19, 2022. Sub trades include:  Electrical, HVAC, Masonry, Miscellaneous and Ornamental Iron, Painting, Plumbing, Roofing and Flashing, Waterproofing, Damp-proofing and Caulking. Only General Contractor and Filed Sub-Bid Subcontractor firms prequalified for this Project will be permitted to submit bids. The project delivery method for construction is design-bid-build.  Work on the project will commence in the Winter 2022 and construction will be completed in 900 Days from the date of the Notice to Proceed to the General Contractor. DCAMM certification required. MBE goal is 4.2% and WBE goal is 4.5%.
