The Town of Amherst is a large municipal government which has provided solid waste services since 1987 for its residents. The Town is 54 square miles and has a population of 130,862 based upon the 2024 census. This bid will include service to be provided to both the Town of Amherst (Town) and the Village of Williamsville (Village) with a combined unit total of approximately 38,300. All garbage and recycling totes used are provided by the Town or Village and are owned by the residents
