DASNY is soliciting bids for work to be performed at the Capital District DDSO. The project involves renovations to Building 9, A Wing, for the construction of a new Dental Clinic at the CD DDSO. DASNY anticipates awarding four (4) prime contracts: General Construction (GC), Plumbing, Electrical, and HVAC. The scope of work for each contract includes, but is not limited to, the following: C645 General Construction: Remaining work not identified as work under this section. Site improvements, including roadways, parking lots, pedestrian paving, site development furnishings and equipment, and landscaping. Selective demolition. Slabs-on-grade, including earthwork, subdrainage systems, and insulation. Roofing, including coverings, flashings [roof specialties]. Interior construction, including partitions, doors, [interior glazed openings,] and fittings. Fire-protection specialties. Interior finishes [finish carpentry] [architectural woodwork] and built-in casework. Dental Equipment C683 Plumbing: Plumbing fixtures. Domestic water distribution. Sanitary waste. Special plumbing systems, including the following: compressed air & vacuum. Plumbing connections to equipment furnished by all other contracts. C684 Electrical: Electrical service and distribution. Exterior and interior lighting. Communication and security. Fire alarm and detection systems. Electrical connections to equipment furnished by all other contracts. C685 HVAC: Energy supply, including [oil] [gas] [steam] [hot- and chilled-water] supply systems. HVAC systems and equipment. HVAC instrumentation and controls. HVAC testing, adjusting, and balancing. Building automation system. Mechanical connections to equipment furnished by all other contracts

The work site is located at the Central Park Pool, 500 Iroquois Way, within the City of Schenectady. The work includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion of the work as described in these Specifications and as indicated on the Drawings including, but not necessarily limited to, the following: Mobilization of the site and installation of erosion and sediment control measures. Protection of the adjacent concrete wall at Iroquois Lake; protection of the existing pool pump station, existing pump station canopy, existing pump station appurtenances, and existing pool drain piping; Salvaging of the existing 6-foot by 8-foot shed structure and its turnover to the City. Dewatering of the existing pool area. Locating of the existing pool drain(s) and existing pool drainpipe to the existing pool pump station. Removals of the existing pool drain(s) and installation of a new area drain basin that connects to the existing pool drainpipe. Removals of the existing asphalt pavement in and around the existing pool area, including the existing asphalt pool curb, as shown on the Contract Drawings, and placement and compaction of the removed pavement material in the low-area of the existing pool. Installation of geotextile fabric and placement and compaction of fill material within the pool area to three (3) inches below the proposed final grades as shown on the Drawings. Fill material is being provided by the Owner and is to be acquired by the Contractor from the designated stockpile location, as shown on the Contract Drawings. Installation of new underdrain piping and its connection to the new area drain basin and existing pool drainpipe. Installation of ornamental fencing along the top of the existing concrete wall adjacent to Iroquois Lake and around the existing pump station building. Topsoil placement and site stabilization, including turf grass seeding and application of hydromulch/soil stabilizer to achieve final grades. Removal of the existing chain link fencing and gates surrounding the existing pool area. Removal of erosion control measures once site has reached final stabilization. Demobilization from the site
