Description

The scope of work for the proposed construction of Old Houston Road (Segment 1) consists of the items shown on the construction drawings and attached specifications. The project is located in Montgomery County. Old Houston Road is to be reconstructed from SH 242 to approximately 0.8 miles south of SH 242 (Segment 1). Existing Old Houston Road is a 20 wide (2-10 lanes) open ditch roadway comprised of 2 Asphalt pavement on 4 to 6 base. Existing Old Houston Road is located within 120 of existing right-of-way. Proposed Old Houston Road will be a 70 wide (4-12 lanes and 14 two way left turn with 4 shoulders) open ditch roadway comprised of 2 HMAC, 1.5 HMAC Level-Up, 10 flex base, and 8 Lime-Fly Ash treated subgrade. The proposed work also includes the replacement of an existing 50-foot span steel girder bridge crossing Dry Creek.
