Description

Fairfax County is soliciting pre-bid qualifications for the construction of the Jones Point Facilities Rehabilitation (Pump Station), located in Fairfax Countys Mount Vernon District at 5840 Cameron Run Terrace, Alexandria, VA 22303. Only firms that have been prequalified in accordance with the procedures in the Pre-qualification Application will be eligible to submit bids for this project. The Jones Point Facilities Rehabilitation project will replace the existing 1.43 Million Gallon Per Day (MGD) wastewater pump station with a new 1.48 MGD pump station and 8-inch diameter force main. The existing pump station will remain in service during construction of the new pump station and force main. An access road will be constructed to provide access to the pump station and to serve as an alternative access to the existing Huntington Levee access road. Once the new pump station and force main are completed and have passed testing, the old pump station will be partially demolished. This project will utilize the Envision Verification Program with Envision Silver Verification being pursued.
