The intent of this Request for Qualification is to pre-qualify general contractors to provide rehabilitation services, both interior and exterior, to residential properties ranging from single-family homes to multifamily units. Qualified contractors will be part of a selected pool of contractors, who will be provided an opportunity to compete for each project for a period of up to four years. There is no guarantee of work as a result of being placed on the City's prequalified contractors list.

The City of Norfolk seeks a lighting designer/contractor to design, fabricate, install, maintain, and remove a cohesive holiday light experience within Town Point Park. The installation shall create an immersive, family-friendly holiday environment and build upon the established lighting enhancements created and installed in 2025. The Contractor shall: 1. Develop a comprehensive lighting design concept aligned with existing lighting elements and holiday theming. The designs vision must tie into the existing holiday decorations of the Battleship Wisconsin and the Pagoda to create a cohesive holiday experience. 2. All new elements must be designed and fabricated to withstand outdoor winter climate, to include waterfront wind gusts. 3. Develop renderings and layout plans showing: Major light features Pathway lighting Tree uplighting Feature displays Ice rink entrance lighting treatments Speaker placement 4. Conduct a site walkthrough with the City prior to final design approval 5. Submit final design package for the Citys approval prior to purchase and installation 6. Obtain all applicable permits necessary for the installation and operation of the lighting experience 7. Identify existing power sources and assess load capacity (and provide temporary power distribution where necessary). Cost of electricity will be covered by the City. 8. The City will provide a listing of holiday music acceptable to the City. The Contractor shall set up speakers, create and control the playlist. The City will be responsible for royalty payments, if any. 9. Provide regular, nightly inspection of all lights to ensure evening illumination 10. Ensure that all elements of the installation are fully functional within the hours of operation. The lighting experience will be operating from dusk till dawn each night on the dates communicated to the Contractor by the City. Music shall be turned off at night in accordance with applicable City Code sections. 11. Be on-call for outages/failures, and replace defective materials within one hour of Citys notification. 12. De-install all lighting, cabling, audio equipment, and temporary infrastructure upon event conclusion, label it as needed and pack it into a storage pod provided by the City.

The City of Norfolk is accepting bids for Pump Station 27 Replacement. The work under this project consists of the removal of the City of Norfolk Pump Station No. 27 building and appurtenances located at 101North Shore Road and its replacement at the adjacent lot 107 North Shore Road. All existing dry utilities serving the existing site shall be removed. The existing force main shall be removed from the existing site and gravity sanitary sewer on site shall be abandoned with flowable fill. The existing force main within city right of way up to the proposed connection point shall be abandoned in place with flowable fill or removed when in conflict with proposed work.
