We are requesting bids for the following trades and/or material suppliers:

Description of Work:   Construction of pedestrian, bicycle, and drainage improvements. Including roadway paving, rolled curb and gutter, class 1 bike path, and striping. Additive Alternate Bid consists of sidewalk and construction of waterline replacement improvements.

(SEC) is soliciting quotes from certified DBE Subcontractors and Suppliers for the following categories of work (including but not limited to):  EXCAVATION SAFETY, TRAFFIC CONTROL SYS, STREET SWEEPING, TEMP REINFORCED SILT FENCE, TEMP FENCE (HIGH VISIBILITY), TEMP DRAINAGE INLET PROTECTION,TEMP FIBER ROLL, ROADWAY EXCAVATION, DITCH EXCAVATION (BLANKET LINED CHANNEL), IMPORTED TOPSOIL, TACKIFIER, CLASS 2 AGG BASE, HMA - ROADWAY, HMA - BIKE PATH, HMA - SIDEWALK, PLACE HMA (DRIVEWAY R&R), PULVERIZE AC PAVEMENT, DRAINAGE INLET - TYPE 1, DRAINAGE INLET - TYPE 2,12' PLASTIC PIPE, 18" PLASTIC PIPE,18" STEEL FLARED END SECT, 48" PRECAST CONCRETE PIPE MANHOLE, 48"PRECAST CONCRETE PIPE MANHOLE (FLAT TOP), REMOVE PIPE, REMOVE INLET, DETECTABLE WARNING SURFACE, MINOR CONCRETE (CURB AND GUTTER), MINOR CONCRETE (TYPE 2 CURB END, CURB OPENING, CURB RAMP), ADJUST FRAME AND LID, ADJUST ACCESS BOX, FURNISH SINGLE SHEET ALUMINUM SIGN , ROADSIDE SIGN - ONE POST & SPEED FEEDBACK, PAINT TRAFFIC STRIPE, PAVEMENT MARKING, THERMOPLASTIC CROSS WALK,EROSION CONTROL, GROUNDWATER DEWATERING, POTHOLING, 8-INCH C900 WATER MAIN, 3/4 INCH SERVICE, 1 INCH SERVICE, FIRE HYDRANTS,  VARIOUS TIE-IN, DEMO/SALVAGE FIRE HYDRANTS, CUT, CAP AND ABANDON IN PLACE WATER MAINS AND VALVES, 3" MISC PATCH PAVING, ADD 1 FOOT DEPTH OF EXCAVATION, BACKFILL & VERT. PIPE & FITTINGS.  Work will be broken down to accommodate subcontractor quotes.

SEC adheres to the requirement for Affirmative Action to ensure Equal Employment Opportunity according to Executive Order 11246, and requires proof from all subcontractors that they are in accordance.  100% Performance and Payment Bonds with a surety company thereof, subject to the approval of SEC, will be required of all subcontractors.

SEC will pay bond premium up to 1.5%.  Please contact SEC for assistance with bonding, insurance, or lines of credit.  All subcontractors are expected to sign a standard contract, which can be viewed at our location.  Any bid provided by a Subcontractor constitutes an acceptance on each and every term of the general contractor’s standard contract.  Subcontractor will be deemed to understand and accept those terms by providing a bid.  Any attempt by a Subcontractor to revise or limit those terms will be null and void and not recognized by SEC.  Prevailing wages must be met.   Subcontractor must possess current insurance and workers compensation coverage meeting SEC’s  insurance requirements. Insurance waiver of subrogation is also required. SEC is a Union Contractor.  Any non-signatory subcontractors will be required to sign an agreement for trades covered under our agreements.
