The main objective of the project will be to procure compost on behalf of the City in order to fulfill Alameda’s SB 1383 procurement requirement of 6471 tons of organic waste products (compost or mulch). While the City strives to apply as much of this required material locally, due to space and site-specific limitations, it may not be possible to fulfil the total requirement within the jurisdiction. The City seeks a qualified Proposer to provide compost brokerage services by way of direct service provider agreements with the options outlined in the scope of services.
