Scope of work includes full compensation for all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and incidentals necessary to furnish and install new pedestrian crossing upgrades at two separate locations. The first project location includes a new Mid-block Crossing at South Ave and Bousian St, as well as updates to the existing pedestrian crossing located at the intersection of Walter Ave and Temperance Ave. The contractor shall furnish and install a new rectangular rapid flashing beacon system to include pole and foundation installation, pedestrian push buttons, advanced warning signage with advanced warning sign assemblies, and proper signage and striping as indicated on the plans per MUTCD and Caltrans standard drawings and specifications along with Project Drawings included in Appendix B. Scope at the midblock crossing also includes the construction of a concrete curb ramp, truncated domes, curb and gutter, concrete median, median curb, and new asphalt concrete pavement. Contractor shall remove existing asphalt pavement, concrete curb, gutter, and sidewalk in accordance with the provided Project Drawings, and City of Fowler standard drawings and specifications. Contractor shall furnish and install a new rectangular rapid flashing beacon system to include pole and foundation installation where necessary, in addition to new advanced warning amber flashing beacons. Existing 1A poles shall be reused where possible. Outdated signage will be removed as indicated on Project Drawings. Contractor is required to secure and cover the fee for a County of Fresno encroachment permit for the improvements at the intersection of Walter Ave and Temperance Ave due improvements being within County of Fresno right of way. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
