The City of Eureka Department of Economic Development, hereinafter collectively referred to as “City,” is requesting proposals for consulting services from experienced engineering and planning consultant teams for final design and construction phase services in support of the replacement of failed or failing fender pilings and installation of horizontal wales at the Fisherman’s Terminal located at 4 C Street in Eureka. The selected consultant will perform a series of tasks including preparation of project final design plans and engineering, building on the conceptual 30% preliminary design and preliminary engineering report already completed, securing final environmental approvals, completing 100% bid ready construction and contract documents, and providing construction phase support. The intent of this project is to replace 40 failing or missing untreated wood fender pilings on the Fisherman’s Terminal quay with new 14-inch diameter composite pilings, with each in the same location, and install new horizontal wales to improve site safety and efficiency.
