Contractor shall, in consultation with and at the direction of Planning & Development Services (PDS), provide experienced staff to supplement the County’s existing staff on an on-call, “as-needed” basis with building inspectors for the Building Services Division. Contractor shall provide staff to provide services including inspections of residential, commercial, industrial, and agricultural structures for conformance with building construction codes, zoning and grading ordinances, and approved building and land use permits; related inspection and compliance services; and to additional related work as required. Staff provided as part of this agreement shall have knowledge of a wide variety of building construction technology, practices and techniques for new or existing building construction, and alternatives involving conversion or restructuring; methods and techniques for analyzing and interpreting construction design plans, specifications, and working plans related to inspection procedures and practices; and regulatory practices, rules, and ordinances governing a building's proper construction, use, occupancy, safety, and sanitation.
