The Pollock to South Sacramento Yard Extension Project (Project) will create a new double track section between the existing Pollock Siding and the existing South Sacramento Yard Siding. The Project will install approximately 1.3 miles of new track between Mile Post (MP) 132.8 and MP 134.1 in Sacramento. Existing power operated turnouts at MP 132.8 and 134.1 will be removed as part of the project. Associated grading, drainage, civil improvements, utility relocations and other improvements will be required to support the construction of the new track and signal infrastructure. The following two (2) at-grade crossings will need to be modified as part of the project: • Florin Road, MP 132.85, Crossing ID 833770X • 47th Avenue, MP 133.86, Crossing ID 833771E B. SCOPE OF WORK This procurement is for Project Delivery Support Services (PDSS) for the Project. SJRRC uses consultants at multiple levels in the organization to supervise other consultants. The firm chosen from this procurement will provide a Project Manager (PM) who will directly supervise other consultants involved in the project including environmental clearance, subsequent design, and construction of the Project. The firm selected in this proposal provides project management services and directly reviews and is directly responsible for overseeing and managing the design development, procurement packages and development, contract support, and coordination with other departments and local, state, and federal agencies; also provides programmatic (budgetary) construction oversight and performs related duties as assigned. The Project Manager, under the general direction of the Chief of Programs will provide project management services (not design services) for the Project within the Capital Projects Program. The Project Manager will provide project management services and directly manage the environmental documents, complete 30% design and progress the design to 100% design with full Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) and City / County / local agency approval. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
