The City of Milpitas (“City”) Planning Department is seeking written submissions to a Request for Proposals (RFP) for selection of a Consultant to prepare the Innovation District Parks and Trails Master Plan (“Plan”), which will complement the Milpitas Metro Specific Plan, and prepare associated documents necessary to support the adoption of the Plan. The City anticipates selecting one (1) firm to provide consulting services, including park planning and landscape architecture expertise, whose qualifications demonstrate they are the most qualified, responsive and advantageous to the City. The Consultant will be responsible for working with City staff in various departments in the preparation and delivery of the Plan. Consultants may be an all-in-one services provider or may manage qualified sub-consultants as team members who are responsible to the selected primary Consultant or may collaborate with separate consultants reporting to the City. The City is seeking to complete the Plan and bring it forward for Planning Commission and City Council review within 12 months of the effective date of a contract, ideally, and in no case more than 18 months from such date.
