The Improvements under this Contract consist of FPID 437763-2-52-01, SR 79 from the West Bay Bridge to the Washington County Line in Bay County. Existing travel lanes, auxiliary lanes, median crossovers, and paved shoulders will be resurfaced. The project includes the relocation of the existing median opening north of Vinson Road to the south to approximately St. Joe Pit Road. Additionally, the project includes curb ramp and sidewalk upgrades, necessary signing & pavement marking upgrades for improved safety and function, and minor signalization improvements where detector loops are impacted by the resurfacing operation. The improvements under FPID 437763-2-52-02 consist of storm sewer improvements along the west side of SR 79 in the Steel Field community. This construction will improve drainage and alleviate historic flooding by installing additional 36” pipes, inlets/junctions, and regrading the existing stormwater pond. Other impacts due to the drainage improvements include the reconstruction of driveway turnouts and other roadside features. Additional improvements under this Contract consist of FPID 217911-9-52-01, SR 79 from the Bay County Line to South of Crews Lake Road in Washington County. Existing travel lanes, auxiliary lanes, median crossovers, and paved shoulders will be resurfaced. Additionally, the project includes necessary signing & pavement marking upgrades for safety and function. DBE goal 11%. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
