Bastrop County is requesting bids for Trucking and Hauling services. Bastrop County purchases materials such as road base, topping rock, recycled asphalt, sand and rip rap stone from many different producers within the central Texas region. Materials are either hauled to one of the four Bastrop County Road and Bridge Precinct yards (Smithville, Bastrop, Elgin and Rockne) or to a project site along one of hundreds of roads throughout Bastrop County. Bastrop County would like to receive a bid for the hauling of any purchased materials to any designated location requested by the Road and Bridge Precincts. Due to the fluctuating cost of fuel, Bastrop County has proposed a fuel surcharge (escalation and de-escalation clause) that will be considered part of the award for this request for bids. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
