Fairfax County is soliciting pre-bid qualification applications for the construction of Stream Restorations at various locations. The projects will be bid on individually. The bid schedule will depend upon funding availability. Approved pre-qualification applications shall be valid for one year from notification date. If any of the stream restoration projects included in this invitation are not advertised for bid within this timeframe, Fairfax County will issue a new invitation for pre-qualification. Only firms that have been pre-qualified in accordance with the procedures in this Pre-qualification Application will be eligible to submit bids for these projects. A brief description of the projects follows: Project 1. Dead Run Segment 4 at Georgetown Pike Restore 5,916 linear feet of stream using natural channel design and riparian corridor enhancements to improve water quality. Invasive plants will be removed and replaced with native trees, shrubs, and herbaceous vegetation. Project 2. Long Branch North at Arlington Blvd & Robin Ridge Ct Restore 4,134 linear feet of stream channel and enhance the riparian corridor to improve water quality. Protection of the existing sanitary line is included within the project’s scope in which the channel will be relocated away from the sanitary lines. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
