The City of Fairfax (“City” or “Owner”) is soliciting competitive bids from licensed, qualified companies to provide site work and restoration to support the City’s current Fencing Contractor, Long Fence. New gates and fencing will enhance the security of the City police station. Work to be performed at the Fairfax City Police Station, 3730 Blenheim Blvd, Fairfax, VA. The purpose of Project 3 will be to assist and support the Fencing and Gates Contractor currently under contract with the City. Accordingly, the Work will consist of demolishing the island located at the existing main gate, one masonry pier and foundation, the two existing gates and motor controllers and related conduits in the immediate vicinity. Work will include curb and asphalt demolition, milling and overlay paving at both gates, limited full depth pavement, and final paving to complete the restored pavement and to include a short section of curb for the main gate. Some Work will involve coordination with the Fencing and Gates Contractor when requested in order to facilitate gate demolition at the south gate, milling and overlay paving at the south gate, and temporary pavement patch at the main gate. All other Work may be assumed by the Project 3 Contractor to occur after the gates are substantially completed. The approved drawings include the complete Project, however, the scope of services in this solicitation is limited to Project 3. Bonds required.
