The Virginia Department of Transportation, (herein referred to as VDOT), is soliciting sealed bids from interested firms to deliver hydraulic concrete (ready-mix concrete) on an as-needed basis throughout Henry County for the Martinsville Residency of the Salem District, Virginia Department of Transportation, an agency of the Commonwealth of Virginia in accordance with the specification contained herein. Based on past experience and performance, it has been identified that VDOT needs to have ready-mix concrete available to handle various repairs in numerous locations. Therefore, it is VDOT’s intent to establish multiple contracts to ensure that ready-mix concrete is available when needed at a reasonable cost, on time, and within close proximity to work locations.
