Newport News is seeking to establish a contract with a qualified Contractor for the construction of a new mast arm traffic signal and pedestrian signals at the intersection of Jefferson Avenue and Pavilion Place. This project is intended to provide pedestrian enhancements to improve safety for travelling parallel to and crossing streets by adding a traffic signal on Jefferson Avenue, as well as pedestrian signals with push buttons, marked crosswalks, along with ADA ramps. The project will enhance mobility and increase the safety factor for pedestrians crossing Jefferson Avenue and Pavilion Place. DBE goal 9%. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
