The Virginia Department of Transportation (herein referred to as “VDOT”) is soliciting bids from qualified firms to provide skilled laborers to supplement VDOT staff during snow and ice removal operations. The work assignment areas are commuter lots within VDOT’s Northern Virginia District Prince William Residency and Fairfax Residency. The work is seasonal and will be called for on an as-needed basis during winter weather events. The Contractor shall provide a crew of ten (10) laborers per lot to perform snow removal duties in commuter lots maintained by the VDOT Prince William Residency and the VDOT Fairfax Residency. These duties shall include, but not be limited to, shoveling sidewalks to remove snow accumulation, applying salt to sidewalks and stairs, etc. SBE goal 42%.
