The City of Salem, Virginia, is requesting sealed bids from qualified and licensed Bidders to provide elevator maintenance services, on a regular and/or as needed basis, at various locations within the City and City Schools, in accordance to Invitation to Bid (ITB) # 2024-036. All elevator maintenance shall be performed by qualified elevator mechanics trained through an accredited training program, to service the equipment on which they will be working. Proof of accreditation must be submitted with bid. Elevator mechanics must be part of an ongoing safety program and must be employed by the bidder, no subcontracted labor will be permitted. Bidder may be required to submit detailed information regarding their technical and safety training programs. Subcontracting shall not be allowed.
