Scope of Work: This is a Design-Bid-Build project. The high explosives magazine (HEM) will be a site-adapt earth-covered (with shotcrete cover) facility using a preapproved Naval Ordnance Safety and Security Activity design. The facility will be a Type D reinforced concrete earth-covered unbarricaded missile magazine (without loading lock), approximately 9,600 square feet, and capable of storing up to eight GQM-163A All-Up-Rounds on their approved carts. Site improvements include access road, electrical power, lighting, and lightning protection.
