Description
The Work encompassed by the Project is more specifically defined in the Contract Documents, but in general consists of, but is not limited to, the following Work: Field investigation of , 1, 1- and 2 water meters to determine meter manufacturer, type of read (manual, AMI, Touch), Meter Serial No., Meter lid & box type and other required information: The information will be used to determine the type of meter replacement and The additional replacement costs will be added to the Bid item at the contract unit cost. Replacement of existing , 1, 1- & 2 water meters (non-Sensus meters) including: Removal and replacement of existing non-Sensus meter with applicable piping and fittings, Replacement of meter lid or meter box (City Supplied). Contractor to dispose of old meter lids & boxes, Reconnection of water supply line to the customer side of the meter with a new shutoff valve (if needed), Reconnection of City water service lateral to new Smart Meter per City of Lynwood Std. Dwg. Nos. W-9 through W-12, Install, connect and verify new Smart Meter and Smart Point to Flex-Net Network, Log meter information including last read on City Forms, and Return existing water meter to City for salvage. Replacement of existing , 1, 1- & 2 Sensus water meters (non-Smart Meter) including: Removal and replacement of existing Sensus (non-Smart Meter) meters, Replacement of meter lid or meter box (City Supplied). Contractor to dispose of old meter lids & boxes, Reconnection of water supply line to customer side of the meter with a new shutoff valve, Reconnection of City water service lateral to new Smart Meter per City of Lynwood Std. Dwg. Nos. W-9 through W-12, Install, connect and verify new Smart Meter and Smart Point to Flex-Net Network, Log meter information including last read on City Forms, and Return existing water meter to City for salvage. Existing , 1, 1- and 2 Sensus Smart Meter including: Existing Smart Meter to remain in place, If existing water meter is connected to a Sensus Touch Read Sensor, remove Sensor and replace with a Smart Point, Verify if replacement of meter lid or meter box, is necessary (City Supplied). Contractor to dispose of old meter lids & boxes, and Verify existing water meter is connected to the Flex-Net Network: If connect, water meter is complete, and If not, install Smart Point and connect and verify with Flex-Net Network. Existing 3, 4 & 6 Sensus Smart Meter including: Verify existing water meter is connected to the Flex-Net Network: If connect, water meter is complete, and If not, install Smart Point and connect and verify to Flex-Net Network. Coordination of Water Meter data with: Sensus Flex-Net Network and Aqua Metric, Citys Water Billing System, and Citys water meter database using InfraMap Software. Contractors will be provided with access to InfraMap to input updated water meter information.
