Description

The City of Carson is seeking bids from qualified firms to provide certified backflow testing, annual inspections, reporting, maintenance, minor and major repairs or replacements, and emergency response services for approximately 200 City-owned backflow prevention devices located citywide. The selected contractor will support the Citys compliance with state and local drinking water protection regulations, including Golden State Water Company and California Water Service backflow requirements. The City operates a diverse inventory of backflow prevention assemblies installed across parks, medians, public buildings, irrigation systems, and landscaped areas. These devices protect the Citys potable water system from potential contamination and require annual testing, accurate reporting, and timely maintenance to ensure safe operation. The City seeks a contractor with demonstrated expertise, strong technical capabilities, and the capacity to provide reliable services. All work under this contract constitutes Public Works and is subject to prevailing wage, DIR registration, bonding, safety requirements, and compliance with the Citys Project Labor Agreement (PLA).
