Description

The City of Huntington Beach is seeking proposals for the replacement of restroom facilities, or the modification and repair of existing restroom trailers at the Huntington Beach Navigation Center, a 164-bed congregate shelter serving individuals experiencing homelessness. The current facilities are outdated, inadequate, and do not meet modern hygiene, accessibility, or operational standards. This project aims to install temporary, modern restroom facilities to improve hygiene, accessibility, and the overall quality of life for shelter residents. The Navigation Center, located at 17642 Beach Boulevard, includes a large Sprung Structure for sleeping quarters, portable restroom and shower trailers, and manufactured office, dining, and meeting spaces. These temporary facilities are designed to provide essential services while accommodating the specific needs of the homeless population in Huntington Beach. Permanent structures cannot be built at this time; therefore, modular, trailer-based, or similar solutions are required.
