On-Call Electric Utility Excavation and Associated Work, Redding, CA

The work may include, but is not limited to, trenching, excavation, and shoring for underground electric conduit systems, duct banks, and associated facilities; excavation for the installation, removal, replacement, repair, or relocation of primary vaults, junction boxes, secondary pull boxes, transformer pads, equipment foundations, and related underground structures; installation, repair, replacement, and restoration of streetlight foundations and associated underground infrastructure; relocation, modification, repair, and protection of existing conduit systems, including conduits located within joint utility trenches or beneath existing utilities and infrastructure; locating, exposing, potholing, supporting, and protecting existing underground facilities and utilities to prevent damage during construction; furnishing and placement of bedding material, backfill, compaction, trench slurry, imported material, and restoration of disturbed areas; saw cutting, removal, replacement, and restoration of asphalt concrete pavement, sidewalks, curb and gutter, driveways, concrete surfaces, landscaping, and other public or private improvements disturbed by the work; furnishing and implementation of traffic control, pedestrian access control, signage, barricades, and public safety measures; dewatering, groundwater control, erosion control, and environmental protection measures necessary to perform the work; emergency excavation, fault-locating support, temporary repairs, and emergency response activities required to restore electric service or secure facilities; site preparation, grading, access improvements, clearing, demolition, and restoration; hauling, importing, stockpiling, recycling, and lawful disposal of excavated, unsuitable, or excess material; and other incidental excavation, civil construction, and restoration work reasonably necessary to support REU underground electric utility operations and projects
