Description
The City of Stamford, for the Water Pollution Control Authority (WPCA) Department, solicits sealed bids from qualified responsible contractors to provide landscape maintenance of the Stamford Hurricane Barrier. The scope of work essentially comprises of keeping the barrier riprap clear of all trees, vegetation and debris along the slopes, top of the barrier and 15 feet from the toe of the barrier and along the seawalls on both the landward and seaward sides. Also included is mowing of grass at certain areas along West Beach, Wallace Street, Dyke lane Pumping station and at entrance to Kosciuszko Park, and removal of tree limbs and brush on the seaward side of the barrier at Dyke Lane pump station to facilitate WPCA vehicles accessing the discharge from the pump station.
