Description
The State of Connecticut Department of Construction Services (DCS) solicits bids for the installation of a new Roof at 287 West St, Rocky Hill, CT 06067 (BI-C-302). Work Included: 1. Demolition and removal of selected portions of exterior roofing components of the buildings as required for new work. 2. Salvage of existing items to be reused or turned over to the facility. 3. Removal and legal disposal of demolished materials off site. Except those items specifically designated to be relocated, reused, or turned over to the facility, all existing removed materials, items, trash and debris shall become property of the Contractor and shall be completely removed from the site and legally disposed of at her/his expense. Salvage value belongs to the Contractor. On-site sale of materials is not permitted. 4. Demolition and removal work shall properly prepare for alteration work and new construction to be provided under the Contract. 5. Scheduling and sequencing operations without interrupting utilities serving occupied areas. If interruption is required, obtain written permission from the utility company and the CT-DAS Project Manager. Schedule interruption when the least amount of inconvenience will result. Bidders must by Prequalified by DAS for General Building Construction (Group A) if their bid is greater than one million dollars ($1,000,000.00)
