Yearly Backflow Testing, Fort Myers, FL

The City of Fort Myers, Florida (City) is seeking qualified and licensed vendors to provide annual testing, inspection, and reporting services for backflow prevention devices. The selected vendor(s) will be responsible for performing approximately 7,000 to 8,000 backflow device tests citywide prior to December 31, 2026. Yearly Backflow Testing, ITB 26-047 The purpose of this solicitation is to ensure that all backflow prevention devices within the Citys water distribution system are properly maintained and remain in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. These services are critical to safeguarding the integrity of the Citys potable water supply.

Scope of Services The Contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, equipment, and materials necessary to perform annual testing and inspection of backflow prevention assemblies. Services shall include, but are not limited to, the following: Perform annual testing of all backflow prevention devices in accordance with applicable standards and regulations. Inspect devices to ensure proper operation and compliance with regulatory requirements. Test, inspect, and report on the following device types: o Double Check Valve Assemblies (DCVA) o Reduced Pressure Principle Assemblies (RPZA) Utilize properly calibrated and certified testing equipment. Calibration documentation shall be provided upon request. Provide immediate notification to the City of any failed device, including recommended corrective action. Retest devices following repair or replacement to confirm compliance, if requested by the City.

Freestanding Pedestal DN100 Pump Flange Ansi Piping Flange, Fort Myers, FL

The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary to complete the following work:

  1. Pump Mounting Components
    • Provide and install four (4) DN100(4IN) freestanding pump pedestal assemblies with associated pump discharge flanges and compatible piping flanges sized for 4-inch connections.
    • Ensure components are properly aligned, anchored, and sealed to support dry-pit pump installation.
  2. Check Valves
    • Furnish and install four (4) 6-inch lever-and-weight style check valves suitable for wastewater service.
    • Valves shall be installed on pump discharge piping and adjusted to ensure proper operation and backflow prevention.
  3. Isolation / Plug Valves
    • Furnish and install four (4) 6-inch plug-type isolation valves with manual operation.
    • Valves shall be installed to allow isolation of each pump and associated piping for maintenance and operational control.
  4. Labor and System Replacement
    • Provide all labor and materials required to remove existing pumps, dry-pit stands, check valves, isolation valves, piping, and fittings.
    • Install new pumps, stands, valves, piping, and fittings as required for a complete and operational system.
    • Perform system alignment, connection to existing infrastructure, testing, and start-up.
    • Return the pump station to full service upon completion of installation and verification of proper operation

5. Delivery and Installation Location
