Description

The City of Miami Beach currently has a contract for elevator maintenance and repairs, but it does not cover replacement or modernization services. As a result, this contract aims to establish a pool of prequalified certified elevator contractors capable of delivering elevator cab replacement and modernization services. The scope of work for elevator replacement or modernization may include the removal and disposal of outdated elevator components, installation of new or upgraded equipment such as traction machines, controllers, door operators, and safety systems, and ensuring compliance with current building codes and ADA requirements. Work may also involve electrical and mechanical upgrades, structural modifications as needed, and integration with building systems. Testing, inspection, and certification will be conducted to ensure performance, reliability, and safety. Contractors will be responsible for providing all necessary personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, labor, transportation, and any additional incidentals required to complete the projects effectively and efficiently. The scope of work will be defined for each project individually, with prequalified bidders invited to submit quotes through Invitations to Quote (ITQ). The estimated budget for an elevator replacement or modernization services is $200,000.00.
